EQUIPMENT SPECIFICATION
Perkins heavy duty diesel engine as specified overleaf coupled to a brushless self exciting alternator mounted, via anti-vibration pads, on to an heavy duty fabricated steel base frame incorporating an integral fuel with a nominal 8 hour capacity compete with contents indicator/ fuel filter, fuel feed and return lines and drain plug. A mechanical governor to class A1, bs 5514 is fitted as standard except on models Lp 135 to Lp250, which are fitted with a class A1 governor. A 12 –volt starting system is fitted up to 135 kvA with 24 volt starting above this power.
Heavy –duty tropicalised radiator and cooling fan complete with protection guards, designed to cool the engine in ambient temperature up to 520c.
Heavy-duty cartridge type dry-air-filter, cartridge type dry-air- filter, cartridge type fuel and full flow lubricating oil filters all with replaceable elements.
Heavy-duty industrial type exhaust silence supplied loose to suit customer’s site installation conditions.
Self-exciting brushless class H drip proof alternator regulated within limits of at least +1 5.5% via a fully sealed automatic voltage regulator. The standard connection is for 380/200 volt or 415/240 volt, 3 phase, 50 HZ but alternative voltage/ frequencies are available. Self mounted vibration isolated control panel and start/stop key start complete with 3 ammeters, voltmeter with selector switch, frequency meter, hours run meter, coolant temperature gauge, battery condition voltmeter and oil pressure. A3 pole mounded case circuit breaker is mounted on the generator set. The generator set is deigned and constructed for installation in weather protected building and is fully tested prior to dispatch. Warranty is for a period of 12 months from date of initial commissioning or 18months from date of shipment from the factory whichever comes the first. A full set of operation and maintenance manuals is supplied.
Wide ranges of mechanical and electrical options are available during automatic mains failure starting, synchronizing of multiple set installations, residential exhaust silecers, and water- proof canopies.
